BHP Falls to a Three Year Low
BHP BILLITON hit a three year low after the company’s announcement at APPEA 2012 that its $US20 billion leap into shale gas production has had to be reconfigured to cope with a slump in gas prices. ‘The big Australian’ will cut the number of shale gas wells it will drill and decide on whether to write down its US shale gas assets by the end of this quarter. 
Titan Adds to its Acreage
AUSTRALIAN oil and gas company Titan Energy has built on its recent US acquisitions by taking up an option to acquire 100% interest in 276 acres of productive acreage on the northern flank of the Allen Salt Dome in Brazoria County, Texas. 
Farm-in Partners Court Central
CENTRAL Petroleum has confirmed that it has received a record amount of interest from potential farm-in partners for its extensive acreage across central Australia and is currently carrying out several negotiations.
