TSC wins deck crane contract from Sinopec

The 162-200VE kingpost deck cranes,
which have received both American Bureau
of Shipping and China Classification Society
approval, will replace existing cranes on the rig
when they are delivered by 20 September 2016.
TSC said this was the first time the two
groups had worked together, which it said
was evidence the company had tapped a new
market in China, winning the tender with a
quality product and reliable performance.
TSC has 16 crane orders in-hand and will
have an additional eight in the near future.
Kantan 3, which came into use in July 1984,
is China’s first semi-submersible rig, and has a
total length of 91 metres, a width of 71 metres
and a height of 30 metres. l
